Good Morning! Happy Thursday to you all! I pray that you are having a blessed weekend.
TFTD: Count your blessings-diminsh your complaints
1 Thessalonians 5:18(NKJV)
18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
STOP COMPLAINING! I have to admit when I look around and even when I examine myself sometimes we complain too much! Life is too short to complain over trivial things. God calls us to give thanks IN EVERYTHING!!! That means give thanks in the good, bad, peaceful times, difficult times, rewarding times, and even in disaster. No matter what happens in life you can find a reason to give Him thanks and praise.
We need to cultivate a culture where we count our blessings more than we complain. If we sat still and started counting our blessings and naming them one by one, we would never have time to complain. God has been too good to you to complain. Your situation is not that bad. TRUST ME. When you think you are going through something, someone is going through ten times worst.
I see people who are struggling with disease, financially torn down, tragedy is banging on their front door, yet they find a way to praise God. Don’t you realize that you have so much to be thankful for? Don’t you realize that you are blessed beyond measure. You are blessed to have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, in your right mind, the movement of your limbs, the articulation of speech, and this is just a few things.
Praise is contagious and unfortunately so is a complaining spirit. I dare you to praise God through your circumstances. I double dog dare you to rejoice because of the very air that you are breathing right now. I triple dog dare you to count your blessings. There is not enough time on earth to count all of your blessings, but it’s a good time to try. Change your attitude. Have an attitude of gratitude and appreciation. Diminish your complaints. Stop speaking death into your situation. When you complain you taint your blessing.
Praise God for your life, praise God for the people in your life, praise God for closed doors and opened windows, praise God for your testimony. Praise God for a second, third, forth, tenth chance.
When you count your blessings you will diminish your complaints. They will have to disappear.
What do you have to be grateful for today? Check your attitude at the door when you wake up and be grateful. Give thanks because there is so much to be thankful for!
May God continue to bless you on this beautiful day!
