Christian inspiration

Poetry Corner

Good morning!  Happy Monday to you all!  I pray you had a blessed weekend.  Yesterday is gone, today is a new day.  Make today great.

Ephesians 5:1-2 (NKJV)

5 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

Walk in Love

by: Nicole Ellis

The world can be cruel

Often moving at a fast pace

One moment you are on top

The next people are spitting in your face

People will smile in front of you

Then talk behind your back

The ones who seem closest to you often pounce in an effort to attack

They will attack your character

Attack your way of life

Don’t let the lives of the miserable

Cause you to live in strife

In spite of how you are being treated

Believers should take on a different creed

We should walk in love

By demonstrating the love in which we bleed

The blood of Christ flows through our veins

We should love our brothers and our enemies by the power of Jesus Name

We should treat everyone with mercy and compassion

Our generosity should be never-ending

And our love should be everlasting

Treat others better than they treat you

Walk in Love

And love will follow you.

Being a Christian is not an easy task, but it’s the best life to live.  Seek God daily on how to walk in love.  Have a blessed day.
