Good afternoon! Happy Tuesday to you all! I speak blessings over each person reading this message today.
TFTD: 2nd half
Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
13 I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.
Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV)
12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Yesterday was July 1st, which marked the start of the 2nd half of the year. Yes, you have successfully made it through the first six months and you are still alive. Some of you may not be where you want to be, but thank God you are not where you use to be. It’s all about perspective. What is your outlook on life? Are you a “the glass is half empty” person or “the glass is half full” person? It’s important to take inventory over how you view life in order to maneuver through this 2nd half of the year.
What is your assessment of the first six months? Have you checked things off of your “new years resolution” or have you thrown the resolution away? Have you taken the first steps towards your destiny or have you sat down on the process? Take a moment to really think about the first six months and ask yourself, “Did I do all that I could have down the first half of the year?” Do you have an answer? We’ll if the answer is yes, then I encourage you to keep reaching for your goals and dreams and keep up the great work. If the answer is no, then I have great news for you-the 2nd half of the year is a new beginning for you.
I thank God for 2nd chances!
I also thank God for the start of the 2nd half of the year because it means I, you, WE get another chance at getting things right. 2013 doesn’t have to be a bust. This year can still be a great year for me, you, US! In my opinion, it’s not always about how you start, it’s about what you do after you start that leads you to the finish that matters. Remember you can do all things through Christ. So, spend more time on your knees, extra time developing a personal relationship with Christ and watch how you can conquer obstacles. You are strong when you tap into the power of the Holy Spirit. Also remember to run your race. Don’t become consumed with what other people are doing or how far they are in reaching their goals. Spend time focusing on your race. God has you right where you need to be in this season. Don’t give up! Keep fighting, keep running, keep pushing because your time will come. Greater is coming!
What will you do with the 2nd half? As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord and run til we finish!
Have a blessed day!
