Prepare to go

Sunshine’s Reflections

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday to you all.  My prayers go out to everyone who is without a home in these extremely cold temperatures.  If you have extra coats, scarfs, gloves, hats, etc. please keep them in your car and give them to those in need.  A little gesture means a lot when it comes from the heart.

TFTD: Prepare to go

Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJV)

19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

When people plan for vacation, they don’t pay for the trip in full, pack, and travel all in the same day.  There is normally a level of planning and preparation that goes into the trip.  First a place is selected that will appease each member of the family, which usually happens after a series of research is conducted on locations, prices, etc.  Then financial arrangements are made, a deposit is put down on the trip and money is set aside over the course of months and even years to pay for the trip in installments.  Depending on where you are traveling, you may begin making purchases for things to wear on the trip.  When the trip arrives, I typically start packing a week in advance to make sure I have everything.  Now riddle me this, why do people spend so much time planning and preparing for a vacation that only last for 5-7 days, but won’t plan and prepare for the calling that is over their life?

It’s time to prepare to go!  Where?  I’m glad you asked.  We are all apart of the Great Commission to GO and make disciples of all the nations.  The question is which way will you contribute to the great commission?  To receive that answer, you will have to consult with God; however, I would step out on a limb and suggest that you already know what you are called to you just haven’t started operating in your calling.  Start preparing that new ministry that God placed on your heart, He needs you to get things in order so that when the door opens you are ready to walk through it.  People are waiting on that new ministry.  Start preparing that new business that you’ve been dreaming about  God needs you to get in position because your business will connect you with people who need to know the Lord.  Start preparing to go back to school, God wants to use you on the college campus.  Start preparing to meet your husband or wife, you’ve been praying for years, but now God needs you to prepare for the person He will connect you with in ministry.  There will be other couples who need your example to make it through.  I don’t know what God has called you to, but I do know He has called you to GO!!!

You have been sitting still long enough.  You have been sitting so long that your legs have gone numb.  Get up and prepare to Go and be about your Father’s business.  Ask Him where to go and who to connect with.  I’m a living witness, God will lead the way.  Warning:  Do not become consumed with your limited ability in the natural.  Trust God to do supernatural things through you.  In the same manner you prepare for a summer vacation, I encourage you to prepare for your spiritual elevation.  Start researching where you will Go in the kingdom of God, research God’s word and seek Him in prayer.  Then begin making financial preparations for your journey by tithing and setting money aside and watch God multiply the seeds that you sow.  Start packing in advance because when God arrives and opens a door for you-you must be ready to go.

Are you preparing to Go?

Have a blessed day!
