TFTD: Faith requires movement

James 2:14-17 New King James Version (NKJV)

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

WOW! It feels like forever since I sat down to blog. God is truly a Wonder and my life has shifted in directions ordained by Him. I can’t wait to release the many testimonies. However, in the meantime, I will lift up my PRAISE! God is worthy of all the praise. Not because of what He does, but because of WHO HE is! I dare you to get to know God intimately. His love is never-ending and His grace is sufficient. His mercy races before you and then waits for you. His provisions exceed your expectations. His compassion is beyond human comprehension. He is GOD!

Today, I have a message for someone. Faith requires movement. God has heard your prayers and He wants to know when you are going to move. So many Christians pray and ask God to answer their prayers. And it’s not until He moves that they will be sure to give Him all of the glory and the honor. See their prayer is contingent on God moving. They are essentially saying, “God I will believe you and trust you when you move.” When God is saying, “When you move, you are showing me that you believe me and trust me and in turn I will move.” Faith requires movement on your part.

Most of the answers to your prayers are attached to your next move. You see, when you pray according to the WILL of God, your prayer is answered immediately. It may not manifest in that moment; however, God has already answered your prayer. Sometimes the release of your prayer into the natural is contingent on another person, a series of events, a changed heart or even on you! There are so many believers who are holding up their prayers because they won’t move! Faith requires movement.

You asked God to start a new business, have you started preparing a business plan? You asked God to go back to school, have you applied yet? You asked God for a new house, have you started saving money and meeting with a real estate agent? You asked God to help you lose weight, have you started exercising? Faith without works is dead. You can’t say you have faith yet you are stagnant. You are holding your blessings hostage due to complacency and fear. Faith and fear can’t occupy the same space.

I’m here to encourage you to get your faith in motion. You don’t have to know all of the details, have all of the money, know all of the plans or have all of the skills. All you need is faith the size of a mustard seed and to take one step-at-a-time. I am a living witness, when you walk by faith, God will move on your behalf in a supernatural way. You may be taking baby steps, but God sees your faith and will allow you to leap pass obstacles into your blessing.

Take a moment to think about what you need from God and ask yourself, “What is my next move?” It’s time to put your faith into action. Your blessings are waiting on you. The prayer has already been answered. What will you do next?

Have a blessed day.

I encourage you to continue walking by faith and not by sight!
