Peace be still

Sunshine’s Reflections

Good afternoon! Happy Tuesday to you all!

TFTD: Peace be still

Mark 4:39 (NKJV) 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

Life is often filled with challenges. These can vary from financial, emotional, mental, physical and spiritual to name a few. If you aren’t careful the storms of life can come and sweep you off of your feet. It’s possible to walk around with everything under control and out-of-nowhere a massive storm blows in and takes your breath away. You can feel overwhelmed, afraid, stressed out and tempted to give up when this happens, BUT there is great news, GOD STILL CAN CONTROL THE STORMS.

It’s important to slow down in the midst of the storm and speak to the storm. Yes, speak to it. Did you know that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you? Did you know that the same power that positioned Jesus to command demons to flee resides in you? Did you know that the same power that allowed Jesus to speak to the storm and calm the waves is inside of you? Well it is. You have the power to declare, “Peace be still.” You have to speak over your mind to be still. You have to speak over your emotions to be still. You have to speak to your physiological make-up to be still.

When challenges rear its ugly head in your life, speak to it to calm down and more importantly speak to yourself so you don’t respond in a manner that will cause you harm. There power lives within. What do you need to speak to today? What do you need to declare “PEACE BE STILL?” I encourage you to tap into the power that God has placed within you.

God bless.
