40 Day Word Fast Recap (Days 11-15)

Speak life 40 day journey

Good morning,

Sorry for the delay. We are still walking this 40-day journey out.

Here is the 5-day recap.

Join me Live or catch the replay videos at Fit For A Purpose, LLC. on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/fit4purposellc/

Here is a 5-day recap:

  • Day 11: An Encounter with the Holy– Read Isaiah 6:5-7. When we have an encounter with God we should see ourselves for our sinfulness in comparison to His righteousness. We should understand that our words when not led by the Holy Spirit will continue to defile us, but through Christ and only Christ can we be saved in spirit and in word. Let the Lord cleanse the negativity out of your heart.
  • Day 12: Wise or Foolish? – Read Proverbs 14:3. The words of a fool brings harm to others and himself, is full of pride, spoken rashly and causes him punishment. Whereas the words of the wise bring life to others and protects himself, is humble, spoken with care and brings him honor. Wisdom is the key to life and peace. Are your words wise or foolish?
  • Day 13: What Comes First – Read Psalm 5:1-3. What do you do when you begin your day? Get in the habit of being fruitful by staring your day crying out to the Lord in praise and prayer. By directing your first words to Christ, He can guide the rest of your words during the day – IF YOU SEEK HIM.
  • Day 14: Behind Enemy Lines – Read Romans 12:14 . We all have encountered an enemy attacking us with words and deed or perhaps you have been the enemy. Their words pierce like a sword and our natural response is to cut back. Yet, the Word of God tells us to bless those who persecute us. “Can you imagine being so refined through the fire that you respond to persecution with words that bless those persecuting you?” ~Tim Cameron
  • Day 15: Set a Guard– Read Proverbs 21:23. Guarding your mouth means taking time to speak the truth, being free from fights, protecting what goes in and what comes out. The word fast means “to cover the mouth”. Use wisdom and cover your mouth to determine what you should release.

Good morning, the journey continues. Here is the 5-day recap.

Join me Live or catch the replay videos at Fit For A Purpose, LLC. on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/fit4purposellc/

This has been a TRUE learning experience.

Here is a 5-day recap:

  • Day 6: Hearing and Speaking God’s Words – Read Isaiah 50:4. When you fill your spirit with the Word of God you will Speak words that come from God. The Lord gives words of encouragement, grace and life to hurting people. These type of words sustains the weary.
  • Day 7: Life or Death You Choose – Read Proverbs 18:21. We have the power to speak death or life. The choice is our. We can’t blame other people for our words. No matter what we speak, we will eat the fruit of our words. Do you want to eat the rotten fruit of death or the blessings that come from the fruit of life?
  • Day 8: Words of Praise – Read Psalm 34:1. Praise the Lord at all times. No matter what you are going through, use words to sing praises to the Lord. Don’t fuel your life with negative words. Give God praise and watch your attitude and language change.
  • Day 9: Don’t be Reckless – Read Proverbs 12:18. Reckless words pierce like swords and can severe relationships. They spread like wildfire and are impossible to contain. Look at what happens in social media today. Even if people forgive, the residue of the damage remains. Pray for God to give you the wisdom over the words you choice.
  • Day 10: The Snare of Gossip – Read Proverbs 16:28. Gossip is destructive. Gossip can spread and do more damage than what was intended. When we gossip we break the confidence of others. Christians tend to use gossip as a subtle way of entrapment, by asking for information to pray for you; however, they end up telling others. Whether it’s intentional or not it’s still GOSSIP and it’s a sin. Don’t spread other people’s business. Ask yourself how will someone be ministered to if I share this information? BE HONEST- CALL GOSSIP what it is and stop it.

  • Day 4: Which Kingdom Rules?- Read Matthew 12:34. Out of the Abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and it truly speaks horrible things if you don’t submit to the Lord. If you speak negative words, criticism, judgement, gossip, sarcasm, complaining and more than you allow the world to rule. However, if you speak love, peace, compassion, grace and more then you are allowing the Kingdom of God to rule. Your speech will indicate what kingdom rules in your life.
  • Day 5: Use Seasoning Salt – Read Colossians 4:6. Ask God to cover your tongue with grace before you speak. Grace is unmerited favor. It’s giving others what they don’t deserve. So even when someone speaks poorly to you, speak blessings to them. Give them EXTRA grace. Sprinkle your speech with salt.

Live Purposefully Recap (Days 21-30)

LIVE PURPOSEFULLY -F4AP 9-2017

Good morning,

Thank you for joining me on the 30-day Live Purposefully journey. Can you believe it’s been 30-days. WOW!

Click here to watch the video replays: https://www.facebook.com/fit4purposellc/

Here is the 10-day Recap:

  • Day 21 – Seek Support: Matthew 6:33, says to seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL these things shall be added to you. Seek God first in all you do and seek Him to lead you to godly support. On your journey you need good people to help bear the weight of your calling. Ask God and He will lead you to people who will believe in you and your purpose.
  • Day 22 – Sow into Yourself: To sow means to scatter or plant deep seeks. It’s important for you to invest in yourself. How can you expect others to sow into your purpose if you won’t sow into yourself? Set time and money aside and invest in yourself.
  • Day 23 – Stay Focused: To be focus is the ability to have a clear vision for what you are doing or where you are going. As you walk in your purpose, you have to keep your eyes on the prize. Don’t go off course. Ask God to show you a clear picture and put your spiritual blinders on and stay focused.
  • Day 24 – Surrender the Guilt: Perhaps God has given you instructions relating to your purpose years ago and you have sat by and did nothing. Well yesterday is gone and today awaits. Surrender the guilt of being disobedient and complacent. Don’t beat yourself up. You have another chance to move forward. Don’t allow guilt to keep your purpose hostage.
  • Day 25 –  Energize your Purpose: To energize means to give vitality and enthusiasm. It’s time to infuse your purpose with excitement and energy. Connect your purpose to the power source (GOD) and become the spokesperson for your purpose. Get excited about what God is doing and what others become excited.

  • Day 26 – Evict InefficienciesWhen something is ineffective it’s not achieving the maximum productivity. As it relates to your purpose, get rid of habits, relationships and activities that don’t allow you to maximize your potential towards achieving your purpose.
  • Day 27 – Eliminate Excuses: Simply put, stop making excuses about why you can’t operate in your calling. “I don’t have any time, I don’t have any money, I’m tired, etc.” These are all excuses. Find reasons, COMPELLING reasons to why you MUST carry out your purpose.
  • Day 28 – Exit Strategy: You must carefully devise a plan to get out; 1. of the places that are robbing your of your purpose and depleting you of productivity and 2. of your own way. Pray for God to give your strategy for getting out of your stubborn mindset, complacent attitude, fearful disposition and more. Your purpose will continue to suffer if you refuse to change.
  • Day 29 – Execute Your Purpose: To execute means to carry out and put into effect. It’s time to get to work and walk in your purpose. You’ve conceived and now it’s time to give birth to your purpose.
  • Day 30 – Empty yourself: Daily seek God to fill your cup so when you pour into others you are pouring from the overflow and not your reserves. What goes in will come out. So first make sure you filled with the right stuff. Be sure when living out your purpose you give your all. When the Lord calls you home, allow people to say you died empty. You gave your best and you gave your all. Don’t hoard your purpose. Share it with others.

I pray you found the 30-day journey helpful. Thank you for joining me.

Blessings.

Live Purposefully 5 day recap (16-20)

LIVE PURPOSEFULLY -F4AP 9-2017

Good morning,

Join me at 5:00 a.m. EST everyday in the month of September for a 5-minute moment on discovering your purpose.

Click here to watch videos: https://www.facebook.com/fit4purposellc/

Here is the 5-day Recap:

  • Day 16 – Push aside Procrastination: Procrastination is the avoidance of doing task which need to be accomplished. When you procrastinate you spend more time doing things that are pleasurable to your flesh than the urgent things that will benefit your purpose. It’s time to stop procrastinating and get focused on tending to the urgent matters that are NECESSARY towards living a purpose driven life.
  • Day 17 – Reclaim your time: Representative Maxine Waters educated the world on a congressional way of cutting through someone stalling and trying to monopolize your time. Reclaim means to retrieve or recover something that was lost. It’s time to reclaim your time for your purpose. People have held your hostage on their agenda long enough. RECLAIM YOUR TIME.
  • Day 18 – Observation is key: Observe means to watch carefully and attentively. Take time to study those who are successful at what you are called to do. This is a great time to “shadow” or follow others as they function in their purpose. I’m not saying copy off of them; however, I am encouraging you to glean from others.
  • Day 19 – Organize your station: Organize your “Purpose Station”. This is a place where you work, study and dedicate time and a schedule to your purpose. This purpose station houses your journals, applications, etc. Get your documents in placed and create a system that works for you. Dedicate a space to your purpose and get it in order.
  • Day 20 – Own Your Purpose: It’s time to acknowledge your purpose as yours. Recognize that you have full claim, power and authority over what God has called you too. When you believe you own it, you will take proper care of it. You have “skin-in-the-game”. You are vested in your purpose. Stop treating your purpose like a leased item and recognize it is YOURS!

I pray you are finding this 30-day journey helpful. Thank you for joining me. Don’t forget to catch the recap. We only have two more days left. The recap will be posted this weekend.

Blessings.

Live Purposefully Day 11-15 Recap

LIVE PURPOSEFULLY -F4AP 9-2017

Good morning,

Join me at 5:00 a.m. EST everyday in the month of September for a 5-minute moment on discovering your purpose.

Click here to watch videos: https://www.facebook.com/fit4purposellc/

Here is the 5-day Recap:

  • Day 11- Restructure your day: There are 24 hours in a day which equals 168 hours in a week. The average person spends 40 hours a week at work. If you sleep six hours a day (42 hours) that leaves 86 hours in the week. Calculate how much time you dedicate to commuting, practices, meetings, etc. and figure out how much time you dedicate to your purpose. It’s important to restructure your day in such a way that you give consistent dedicated time and attention to your purpose. What can you organize differently in order to spend more time to your purpose.
  • Day 12- Reevaluate your decision: Reevaluate is a careful appraisal of your career, ministry, hobbies, etc. Assess the value of the things you do and the positions you hold. Are they worthy of your time? Are they adding or taking away from your purpose? Take inventory over the decisions you have made and see how you can change them.
  • Day 13- Remove distractions: Removing distractions is easy, right? Not really. This is something that has to constantly be worked on. Whatever diverts your attention off of your purpose is a distraction. Who are those people or what are those things that make it difficult to focus? Distractions diminish your ability to receive valuable information concerning your purpose. Recognize them and remove them.
  • Day 14- Relinquish Fear: Relinquish means to get rid of. On your journey to living purposefully, you must get rid of False Evidence Appearing Real (F.E.A.R). Fear convinces you that things will happen based on distorted perceptions and cause you to run from your purpose. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. God has given us three things to conquer fear.
  • Day 15- Research the Process: Take time to research the actual process of going back to school, starting a school, starting that non-profit, starting that business, etc. Look at what is required. Connect with successful people to ask them some questions about the process. This is where you focus on the standard process. Don’t reinvent the process. See what is necessary to take the next steps.

I pray you are finding this 30-day journey helpful. Thank you for joining me.

Blessings.

Hurricane Donation Relief

Fill the Truck -Refuge

Hurricane Harvey and Irma have left; however, their devastation is felt by many. Just because the storm is over doesn’t mean everyone is in the clear. Your prayer and support is needed. Perhaps you’ve been looking for a way to contribute to those affected by the storm, but have been unsure of how to go about doing that. This FILL THE TRUCK effort organized by Refuge Nation Church is a great one to join.
Pack up your gently used clothes, buy new clothes, shoes, sanitary products, soap, towels, wash cloths, sheets, comforters, etc. If you need it then chances are someone else needs that item as well. Pastor Joe Baker is a well-respected man of God and I trust this effort. A lot of people are trying to capitalize on the sufferings of others and you may have been hesitant to donate because you don’t know if it’s legit. Well here is one you can give too.
Leave the excuses behind and get your items together and donate. You have something that could really bless someone else today.
~Nicole L. Ellis, MBA
P.S. Prideful products collected in June-August 2017 will be going to support this effort.

Live Purposefully Recap: Days 6-10

LIVE PURPOSEFULLY -F4AP 9-2017

Join me at 5:00 a.m. EST everyday in the month of September for a 5-minute moment on discovering your purpose.

Click here to watch videos: https://www.facebook.com/fit4purposellc/

Here is the 5-day Recap:

  • Day 6- Pose a Question: Our greatest battle isn’t with other people, it’s within our mind. Ask yourself a series of questions regarding your purpose. What are some of the mental roadblocks you face? What are some of the “excuses” that you make whenever you start pursuing your purpose? Write these things down and remember them for when you try to sabotage yourself in the future. Recognize the patterns and resist the urge to give up.
  • Day 7- Unearth your gifts: Dig up the things that set you apart. These are the special things that make you great. Unearth the gifts that are connected to your purpose. Overtime you’ve buried the gifts that make your special, perhaps in an effort to please man in ministry, on your job, etc. Now it’s time to dig up you gifts.
  • Day 8- Understand the connection: Take time to understand the connection your gift has with your purpose. If anyone lacks wisdom ask God who gives generously… (James 1:5). Ask God to help you understand how your gifts that you unearthed are connected to your divine purpose.
  • Day 9- Uplift Yourself: Elevate and stimulate yourself morally and spiritually with words of affirmation. You have to encourage yourself on your journey to live purposefully. Death and life are in the power of the tongue…(Proverbs 18:21). What are you saying to yourself concerning your passion? It’s often easy to speak life and encourage others about their goals and dreams; however, we struggle to speak life to ourselves. Take time to uplift yourself.
  • Day 10- Urgency to Grow: Where do you place importance in your life? Is it on fulfilling man’s dreams? Is it staying comfortable in your current position? Or is it in pleasing God? You have to have a sense of urgency to grow in your purpose. Someone is waiting for you to become great. When you walk in your purpose, you become the vehicle God uses to fulfill a prayer request. How long will someone have to wait for you?

Thank you for joining me on this journey. God wants you to be who He created you to be.

God bless.

~Nicole L. Ellis, MBA
